How Started:-

Sanjeev Bikhchandani is the founder and executive chairman of After leaving his job at Hindustan Milkfood Manufacturers, Mr. Bikhchandani along with a partner founded Info Edge and Indmark. It started as an employment exchange, which used to sell salary reports to various companies. In the year of 1991, Info Edge and Indmark parted their ways.

Due to economic recession, the company encountered loss in 1996. With the help of Anil Lal and VN Saroja it again came back to the shape. On this very year, this company released its first television commercial. It spent a lot of money on online and offline advertising. After launching, the first version of the website collected 1000 jobs from 29 newspapers. Soon various business magazines and newspapers flooded with its reviews.

How It Works:-

A job seeker (fresher/ experienced) registers in Naukri with his/her updated resume. The candidate hunters then check the resumes and if the skill-set matches their requirements, they call the job seeker or leave e-mails for the interviews.


Right after its establishments Naukri’s growth was elemental. However, due to massive positive reviews and newspaper articles soon it boomed. Within two years, this company had a turnover of 1.8 millions and on the third year, the turnover jumped to 3.6 millions, with 1.8 millions of profit.
